Our Team Members are the face of our company and are the first step in providing quality service and hospitality to our guests.

The Outpost is looking to fill the following positions

Cashier/Front Counter–Admissions

  • Operate cash register (POS System), accurately handle cash and make correct change and accurately process credit card transactions

  • Sell admissions/skates

  • Enjoy greeting people and demonstrate a high energy level with an outgoing personality

  • Must be able to effectively communicate with The Outpost’s customers with a clear customer service focus

All Team Members, regardless of position, will be expected to provide an outstanding customer experience for every customer. All Team Members are responsible for ongoing housekeeping duties throughout the facility. They will ensure all areas of the facility are kept clean and safe, including the removal of trash, cleaning of tables, windows, parking areas, bathrooms, lobby & restaurant floors and putting items away in their proper place. Team Members will also perform other duties/projects as assigned.

Outpost Ice Arena Line Cook

Outpost Ice Arena is looking for experienced line cooks. We are expanding our restaurant and need motivated candidates that can keep up with a fast-paced environment. Successful candidates will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction goals.

Team members will earn $12.00/hour and qualify for discounts in the Center Ice Grill and Chilly’s Pro Shop. Uniform shirts will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
  • Prepare food for service
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
  • Help with birthday parties.

Requirements

  • Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
  • Familiar with industry’s best practices

Outpost Ice Arenas New Mexico Ice Wolves Game Day Operations & Concessions Team

The Outpost Ice Arenas and New Mexico Ice Wolves are seeking energetic, personable, hard-working individuals to join their Game Day Operations & Concessions Team for the upcoming 2021-2022 North American Hockey League season. The Ice Wolves are scheduled to play 28 games on multiple Friday and Saturday evenings between October 2021 and April 2022 on their home ice at The Outpost Ice Arenas this season and we’ll need a dedicated crew to provide a safe, clean and fun environment and experience for fans and players.

Team members will earn $12.00/hour and qualify for discounts in the Center Ice Grill and Chilly’s Pro Shop. Uniform shirts will be provided.

Team members can expect to work from approximately 4 PM to 12 PM on game days (mostly Fridays and Saturdays.

  • Duties, tasks and responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):
  • -Operating ticket sales computers and scanning tickets at arena entrance
  • -Parking lot assistance prior to games and arena ushers during games
  • -Monitoring and removal of trash and waste receptacles during and after games
  • -Janitorial cleaning and disinfecting of lobby, dining areas, restrooms, locker rooms, bleachers, and other areas before, during and after games
  • -Ice maintenance and rink glass cleaning
  • -Center Ice Grill Food & Drink Concessions Sales
  • Additionally, Team members must pass a basic criminal background investigation.

Outpost Pro Shop Retail Associate Full or Part-time

Description

Retail Sales Associates play a meaningful role at Pure Hockey. The Sales Associate position provides an opportunity, in a leading retail setting, to excel in a growing, high impact, customer-focused role, working both independently and as a member of a team, to positively impact the lives of others.

  • Team members will earn $12.00/hour and qualify for discounts in the Center Ice Grill and Chilly’s Pro Shop. Uniform shirts will be provided.

Shift Manager-Ice Rink

Shift Manager – Ice Rink

Location: Albuquerque, NM
Status: Full-Time, Salaried
Compensation: (DOE)
Benefits: Two weeks paid vacation annually

Position Overview

The Shift Manager is a hands-on leader responsible for the overall operation, maintenance, and cleanliness of the ice rink during their assigned shifts. This role ensures that all facilities, ice surfaces, and customer areas are clean, safe, and ready for use. Shift Managers play a critical role in providing a positive experience for skaters, players, and guests by maintaining the highest standards of facility presentation and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facility Operations & Oversight
    • Manage daily rink operations to ensure smooth, efficient performance.
    • Operate and maintain ice resurfacing equipment, including Zamboni and edger.
    • Inspect all facility areas at the beginning and end of each shift—including locker rooms, restrooms, showers, benches, lobby, stairs, and Zamboni rooms—and attend to any cleaning or maintenance needs.
    • Maintain detailed shift logs documenting all maintenance issues, cleaning tasks, and operational notes for follow-up or escalation.
  • Ice Maintenance
    • Maintain ice quality through resurfacing, edging, and consistent depth management.
    • Make fresh ice prior to opening; arena should be ready at least 60 minutes before scheduled morning games.
    • Edge and inspect ice at the end of each day to ensure premium skating conditions.
  • Cleaning & Upkeep
    • Ensure all areas are kept clean, organized, and restocked throughout the shift.
    • Oversee and participate in cleaning of Plexiglas, lobby glass, boards, and other surfaces according to a set schedule.
    • Maintain outdoor areas, including parking lots, sidewalks, and entryways.
  • Staff Coordination & Cross-Training
    • Lead and support arena staff during assigned shifts.
    • Ensure all team members are cross trained to assist in multiple areas, including the front desk, public skating sessions, Chilly’s Grill, and the Pro Shop during peak times.
    • Assign tasks based on arena activity levels, events, and customer flow.
  • Maintenance & Reporting
    • Perform light maintenance and minor repairs as needed.
    • Document any issues requiring additional service and communicate them to the General Manager for scheduling or outside service.
    • Schedule time for painting, taping, and upkeep of doors, railings, and other high-traffic areas.
  • Event & Schedule Flexibility
    • Adjust work hours to support games, tournaments, and special events as required.
    • Arrive at least 30 minutes prior to opening to perform inspections, turn on lights, and prepare ice.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Clean driving record
  • Previous supervisory or shift leadership experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with ice arena operations, Zamboni operation, and basic maintenance are a plus.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Commitment to teamwork, safety, and exceptional customer service.

Accountability

Shift Managers are held accountable for all aspects of the operation during their shift—maintenance, cleanliness, readiness, and overall facility condition. They serve as the on-site leader ensuring the rink is always safe, clean, and welcoming for every guest.

Key Responsibilities

Management & Administrative Duties

  • Manage ordering, inventory, and vendor relationships for all grill supplies and food products

  • Oversee daily grill setup, prep, and service to ensure quality and consistency

  • Previous experience in grill or kitchen management preferred
